A TV program on a B&B!!
An Italian Bed & Breakfast was made the protagonist of a Danish Reality Show. As of February 26, and for the following 9 weeks, the show will be aired weekly on Denmark's national network. It is shot in Rosora, a lovely village in the province of Ancona, Marche. The Danish title translates as “My Italian Dream” and is produced by the company Eyeworks, related to the giant of entertainment programming Endemol.
Written and presented by Eva Ravnbol, the show features four Danish couples competing in a management competition involving a turned-B&B country house. Eva explains that the show has the typical features of both Reality and Documentary television, with real-life scenes and the spontaneous involvement of Rosora's people. Besides, it focuses on the traditional resources of the region Marche: foods, wines, environmental and cultural resources.
The couple that best adapted themselves to the new lifestyle won the competition and the prize, that is the possibility to return to Rosora at the end of the series and run a bed & breakfast house in the village's main square.
"It is an event that we will remember for years - commented Rosora's Mayor Lamberto Marchetti - and a fine opportunity for people abroad to get to know our world". Indeed, numerous holiday requests have already been received through the website www.italy.dk. Local people did also enjoy this unusual situation and took part in the shots.
